Nigerian footballer Bamidele Yusuf will continue his career in Portugal. The 21-year-old winger is transferring to the first league club Estoril Praia.
He came to Trnava in the winter of 2020 and played 77 league matches, 11 cup matches and 9 in the European Conference League for the red and black. He skilfully scored 23 goals in all competitions. He has started every game so far this season, scoring twice in the league and scoring a hat-trick against Wales' Newtown.
After the season, his contract at Spartak ended and his transfer is advantageous for all parties involved, after mutual agreement between the clubs. Last but not least, also for the footballer himself, whom the club did not want to prevent from further progress in his career.
"Thank you to everyone at the club for everything they have done for me. For giving me such a great opportunity to play in Spartak. I will never forget the great fans who supported me and will remain in my heart forever. I will miss them, but I believe that we will see each other again. But now it's time to take the next big step in my career. Thank you for everything, Spartak," said Yusuf in farewell.
As announced earlier, Spartak also terminated the contract with the Polish player Milosz Kozak, who failed to make a significant impact in the lineup. On behalf of Spartak Trnava, we thank both players for the work done for the benefit of the club and wish them much success in their football life. In their place, the club is looking for a replacement, which it would like to finalize before the end of the current transfer window, which ends on September 6.
