The fans were curious as to how Spartak would handle the next cup match, in which the draw once again gave them an opponent from the lower levels of football. He advanced with Boleráz in the previous round only after penalties, which angered coach Michal Gašparík and he promised that it would not happen again. In the end, Trenčianske Stankovce didn't put up any resistance and the decision was made after only twenty minutes.
"That's how I imagine it as a coach, and it's nice when you win like that. 1200 people came, they enjoyed it and this is what it should look like. A league player should be able to manage smoothly in such matches, and then everyone will be satisfied." Gašparík also beamed with satisfaction. This time, unlike Boleráz, he made it stronger right at the beginning. Although some players could not play, the starting line-up decided the match relatively quickly, when Taiwo and Štefánik scored five goals.
"The first instructions from the coach were not to repeat the performance with Boleráz. We managed to do that and practically in the first half it was decided. The guys took it very seriously, they performed well and the result is deserved." says goalkeeper Martin Vantruba, who also caught the second cup duel. In the previous one, he had to face a shootout, but yesterday he was idle in the first half. In the second one, the local footballers already had chances and some were even scored, but Vantruba kept a clean sheet. However, it turned out that after the substitution, Spartak's performance went down. "During halftime, coach Kamesch told me that some intervention was coming and I should wait for him. It gradually escalated. At first there was only a cross, then some situation and finally they got into goal chances. I'm glad we kept a clean sheet with the guys and we're looking forward to the next round."
During the next weekend, the league competition will start again and Spartak will have the first of a series of away matches. On Sunday, from 6 p.m., he will perform in Zlaté Moravce.
