Spartak has had a difficult week, spent on the road. First, he completed the cup rematch in Poland, and directly from Czestochowa, the entire expedition moved to the east of Slovakia on Friday, where Michalovci awaited in the league. The fans were generally expecting when the Spartak team would wake up with a shot, but few believed that it would be possible after the difficult journey, and on top of that in Michalovci, where it is not so easy to win.
"I appreciate the approach of the guys, because we only had two days for regeneration, of which we traveled from Poland for over eight hours on that one day. From the first minute I felt that we weren't quite optimal in terms of movement, but today we were a bit more efficient in the second half. And that ultimately decided, quality and conversion of chances. We've only had one day off in the last seven weeks and now the guys have got two days off. Finally, we can prepare the entire microcycle for another opponent, Dunajská Streda. We will rest and ease the pressure that was put on us, as we jumped higher in the table. We will continue to work and I guess we will be as efficient as we are now. We look decent in the game, we also create chances, we just didn't like it there. Now we also played the second clean sheet of the season, and that helped us a lot," coach Michal Gašparík paid tribute to his team.
Similar to the first victory of the season against ViOn, Spartak started with a quick goal in the opening minute. This time it was scored by Jakub Paur, for whom it was the first goal in a new jersey and he was very happy about it. "I have never scored such an early goal, certainly not in the first minute. I enjoyed it so much that I forgot to send it to my wife and son. It was euphoric and we all needed this victory. It is difficult to play in Michalovci and this goal helped us extremely. I'm grateful to the guys for that," said the scorer of the opening goal, who could have added the second in the first half, when the ball bounced off the hands of the home goalkeeper. "From my point of view, it was a difficult situation, because the bounced ball was sharp, I was just somehow trying to hit it, but there was no extra space to save it to the post. At that moment I didn't feel like it could be saved, so I just wanted to hit the goal, but, unfortunately, I hit the keeper.“
Samuel Štefánik played a very good match in Michalovci. He assisted on the first goal and scored the second himself, when he actively attacked and led a risky little shot home, which he finally stole and scored into an empty net. It was at a time when the home team was breathing heavily and wanted to do something about the match. It was starting to resemble the scenario with Podbrezova, but this time the Spartans were able to break the opponent's resistance. It was possible thanks to the second goal. "I saw that the centre-back was passing to the one on the right, so I went to him earlier and then made a worse pass to the keeper. I took a risk, I went all in, I was there earlier and I'm glad it turned out that way. We were leading 2:0 and it was already calmer." said Samo Štefánik after the match.
Yusuf and Ristovski followed him and all three have two league goals to their credit. Let's believe that they will increase their balance in the upcoming match against Dunajská Streda. After Sunday's matches, the interesting blockbuster will be played at the Anton Malatinský Stadium on Saturday, August 20, from 6 p.m. Tickets for the match are now on sale online at https://cityarena.maxiticket.sk/fc-spartak-trnava-vs-fc-dac-1904-dunajska-streda-2022-3, or in the official Spartak fan shop at the stadium from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. or on the day of the match from 4 p.m. at the box office on Športova Street.
