Former Spartak football player Viliam Martinák turns seventy years old today (October 16). This striker and later defender came to Trnava from Sereda in the summer of 1976. He played his first league match for Spartak in the autumn in Ostrava, where the Spartans lost to Baník 0:4. He also scored his first league goal in the fall of 1976 at home against Lokomotiva Košice (1:0). In the 1977/78 season, he was the best scorer in Trnava with 5 goals. He also scored one goal in the Slovak Cup against Dukla Banská Bystrica. In ten seasons, he played 244 matches for Spartak and scored 29 goals in them. He played the last duel in the fall of 1985 in Banská Bystrica, where Trnava drew with Dukla 1:1.
