Several young Spartak players, who did not fit into the first league squad for this season, chose the path of hosting in a lower competition in order to gain experience in senior football. So far, it seems like a good step, because most of them belong to the basic lineups of their teams, and several have also made a mark in terms of goalscoring. We offer an overview of Spartak players who played in other clubs in the autumn part.
The pair are visiting second-league Myjava Samuel Benovič, Stanislav Olejník. The newcomer of the 2nd league is a pleasant surprise of the competition, when after 10 rounds it is in 5th place, with the same points gain as the biggest aspirant for promotion Košice, and the Kopaničari lose 3 points to the leader Prešov. In the cup, they passed Tovarníky and Kalná nad Hronom to the 4th round.
The 21-year-old midfielder Benovič has played in all matches in the starting line-up so far. Although he doesn't exactly have goalscoring in his description, in the 3rd round against the Žilina B team, he prevailed and underlined the home win 2:0. "We have a good team and we are satisfied with our performance in the league so far. Maybe a shame about the match with Považská Bystrica. We will try to continue in the same way for the rest of the autumn, so that we can go into the return leg from the best possible place. I am also personally satisfied with my workload, I play in my defensive midfielder position and I was only missing a few minutes. The second league is of high quality. I even scored a goal, which is unusual for me. Against the B team from Žilina, I won the ball in the penalty area, I shot and it fell. It was a winning match, so it tasted even better. I still watch Spartak, too bad they lost points from the opening home games with Podbrezová and Banská Bystrica, where the guys were clearly better. However, I think that if they continue like this, they will achieve their goals," said Samuel Benovic.
Stanislav Olejník, a year younger, also came to Myjava on loan from Spartak. He also started in every game, although he didn't start every one. Right in the first round, he decided the victory over Šamorín with his goal in the 87th minute. He added another league goal in the last round against Považská Bystrica (2:2). They also added two goals in the cup match against Tovarník, which Myjava won 3:0.
"I didn't finish the last match and I didn't even train this week because I have an injured achilles, I hope it won't be anything serious. Otherwise, I am satisfied with my work at Myjava. It's different to play five, ten minutes and then here for 70-75 minutes. We are sufficiently busy and we have the opportunity to gain mainly player experience," revealed Stanislav Olejník.
The Spartans also sent a Nigerian striker to the 2nd league to play Kennetha Ikugara. The twenty-year-old footballer anchored in Trebišov. The team from the east of the country is doing better than last season and is currently in 7th place with 15 points in the calm middle of the table. The last win especially resonated, when in the home match Trebišov defeated the favored Košice 3:1, while they lost a suspended player in the first half with a score of 1:1. It was Ikugar who made it 3:1 at the very end, for whom it was the fourth goal of the season. The Nigerian is only 10 minutes short of the complete minutes in the season, and he also scored in the winning matches against Rača (1:0), Považská Bystrica (2:1) and in the loss in Komárno (1:2). His teammate in Trebišov is also Peter Kolesár. He spent most of the last season on loan at ViOne Zlaté Moravce and did not fit into Spartak's squad for this year either, and decided to go on loan at home club Trebišov.
The nineteen-year-old also decided to return home Lukáš Jendrek, which anchored on a guest visit in Prešov. The rookie is the surprising leader of the second league, and Jendrek, who plays on the wing, is also doing well in him. This season, he scored twice and assisted on three goals. The match of the 3rd round was particularly good for him, in which his team Prešov won 3:0 on the field in Humenného. Jendrek scored the first goal, the second fell from the penalty spot after a foul on him, and he passed the third.
Other players from Spartak's wider squad, who have less playing time, go as part of an alternating start to help Malženice in the third league, who are leading their competition without a loss. They only drew in Galanta in the first round, they won the other matches. Legionnaires board regularly there Oseni, Bolaji and since his arrival Ali Baba, together with a pair of talented pupils Karhanom a Ujlakym. Michal Boledovič is visiting Malženice. Azeez Oseni scored five goals, Patrick Karhan added three and Kazeem Bolaji also scored twice.
