In front of almost 9,000 spectators, Spartak started the match against Polish Raków offensively, but the home side did not finish the promising action.
In the seventh minute, Takáč had to push a centered ball from the right side to a corner kick, the subsequent standard situation was already played by the defense and won the ball. For long minutes, football turned into a battle for the center of the field and both teams were careful about mistakes, but the attacking activity of the home team was obvious. After half an hour of the game, the ball reached the penalty area of Spartak with luck to López, who was apparently in an offside position. The Spaniard didn't hit her more than he did, but despite that, she went into the goal for Takač - 0:1.
The players from Trnava continued to fight after conceding, after several fights for the ball, passions flared up, but in the last minute of the first half, the referee Pajac whistled a penalty for the guests after a foul by Bukata, and López converted it with a dose of luck - 0:2, although Takač caught the direction of the ball and missed it by centimeters .
After halftime, coach Gašparík sent Paura into the game, the offensive player replaced Procházka. In the 55th minute, after a corner kick, Daniel found Štětín at the back post and it was a little short of a goal. After the subsequent scrum, Trnava players and spectators complained about the hand of the guests in the penalty area, but the referee remained silent and the game continued. Shortly after the hour of the game, the goalkeeper Takač shined, pushing Gutkovskis' shot to a corner kick after an excellent save.
In the 69th minute, Spartak could have reduced the score, but Paura's finish from Koštrno's cross from the right side went wide. For the last twenty minutes of the match, the coach sent Boateng and Štefánik to the pitch, who replaced Ristovský and Bukata. Spartak practically pushed the opponent in front of their own penalty area, but neither Daniel's shot in the 75th minute nor Raków's further siege of the goal changed the score.
Substitute Iván also tried to reduce the score, his attempt five minutes before the end of the duel went wide of Trelowski's goal. Iván also had Spartak's best chance when he broke free in front of the goalkeeper, but instead of a shot, he tried another handle and nothing came of it. Spartak's final push resulted in long-range shots, but Trnava will travel to the rematch in a week with a two-goal deficit.
Michal Gašparík (Spartak): "We had a good start to the match, pressing in front of the goal, being aggressive in order to match the Poles in this attribute. I think we were even better at this. It was fine until the snack break, then apparently an offside situation, Raków took the lead. Maybe if there was VAR, the goal would not be recognized. The second goal was very cheap, overall we were not worse in the match, certainly not by two goals. Raków closed the middle of the pitch well, we tried to pass the edge and center balls. We didn't manage to score a contact goal, it stank of a penalty on our hands, we dealt with difficult situations well, we conceded after easier ones."
Marek Papszun (Raków): "The first half is behind us, we have to win at home as well. Spartak attacked, but we resisted. Spartak caught us a little by surprise with an aggressive game, but we prepared the team for it before the duel, we didn't panic."
