In the end, the chances of progressing were finally taken away by Korchegin from Trnava, when the visitors lost in the middle of the field, the Ukrainian footballer easily got into the penalty area and beat Takač with a cross shot. When, in addition, both Spartak forwards were gradually injured, while only Ristovski was able to replace them, it was clear that Trnava would not be able to withstand serious opposition and bid farewell to Europe this season at the same stage as last year.
