The Spartak team had a tough encounter in Podbrezova yesterday. After Ružomberok, they conceded three goals again, but both matches were diametrically different. While the home team made the most of the minimum in Liptov and won the match in which they were worse, this time the goal ratio could have been higher. Podbrezová deservedly won after an excellent performance, when she did not let her opponent into almost anything.

"We were worse in all disciplines. The opponent looked better in terms of movement, collected rebounds, was better in fights, was first everywhere, we were late everywhere. It was like that for practically the whole match. Maybe at the beginning of the second half it was a little bit balanced, but then we got another goal and the whole match was directed by Podbrezova," this is how stopper Lukáš Štetina defined the meeting at Horehroní, and one can only agree with that.

Thanks to these aspects, the team from Podbrezov had the ball under control, and then three headers won were enough for them to underline their superiority with a goal as well. In the first case, Kuzma won a header between two defenders, who prepared a tutu for a completely free Kováčik, and he opened the scoring. Then Moses Cobnan headed twice after a corner, although he does not stand out too much. In particular, he scored his second goal in such a way that the ball literally fell on his head when he was standing completely uncovered in front of Takač. "We knew they were dangerous from set-pieces, that they could kick it and we were going for it, unfortunately we got two goals from it. We didn't cover it too much in those situations.''

Cobnan is the best scorer of the Ironmen with six hits, exactly half of which he scored against Spartak, and he threw away his biggest one. The Trnava team met Podbrezová twice this season and both matches were different. In both cases, the domestic footballers dominated, but while Spartak only drew in the match in Trnava, Podbrezová turned her dominance into a smooth victory.

Michal Gašparík had to do without the injured Erik Daniel in the match, Taiwo also played with self-denial, who brought a scar from Banská Bystrica, and only thanks to injections, Sebastián Kóša started, whose condition finally allowed him to play only one half. Here, too, it turned out that it was not enough for the well-motivated home team. Despite this, Michal Gašparík chose the same line-up as a week ago, which did not lead to success this time. In contrast to the aforementioned match with Ružomberok, where the conceded goals roused the team even more, now they were brought down and the players often seemed clueless.

"It was a mistake that we played 3-5-2, although the second half showed that it was not a decisive system, because not a single player gave a better performance. Three defenders worked for us in certain passages in previous games and I wanted to build on that. From the first minute we lost balls and had open windows that we are not used to in our game. Today we had a lot of them and that's how the first goal was scored. After that, there was no one to lift it up on the field." said a disappointed Michal Gašparík after the match.

Yesterday, his charges produced only two shooting attempts at Ludha and performed a single football action with quick and accurate passes. Although it ended with the first goal of the Nigerian Oseni, it was too little and too late. A small positive is the return to the lineup after the injury of Martin Bukata, who assisted on the only goal.
