The Angels erased the loss of two goals and got at least a point with Žilina

Spartak entered the duel of the fourth round of the Fortuna League without a thoroughbred star player, Ristovski and Boateng waited for their chance on the substitutes' bench. The trio of Daniel, Paur and Yusuf took care of the offensive.

He was the first to try to threaten the goal of Žilina Štefánik in the third minute, but after a pass from Paura, he aimed just wide. A minute later, Košterna's shot also went wide. The angels had a great chance even in the thirteenth minute, Daniel crossed from the right side, Paur tapped in with his head and Yusuf had to finish from the first and headed over the goal. The opening twenty minutes belonged to Spartak, there was only one attacking team on the pitch.

In the 24th minute, the visitors got to a corner kick, after Bari's cross, the ball reached Myslovič and he moved it to Kopas on the edge of the penalty area, who shot everything he had and sent Žilina into the lead - 0:1. Four minutes later, Paur could have equalized, but Yusuf's cross from the left didn't quite finish.

In the 37th minute, Takač made a great save, pushing Kopas' bomb from outside the penalty area to a corner kick. He also had work to do at the very end of the half, when Ďuriš's finish after a corner with effort went into the corner.

Although the Trnava team pushed the opponent into defense, they lost the first half and coach Gašparík had to react by making a substitution, sending Boateng on the pitch for Bukata. The newcomer on the field got to the end in the 48th minute, but the shot from the turn lacked force. Two minutes later, Paur also had a header, but Yusuf's cross was not used to his liking.

However, Žilina's corner came in the 54th minute, and the first ball deflected from Kopas was headed by Takáč, but he was no longer entitled to a stop from Stojčevský - 0:2. The coach's reaction did not take long, Ristovski replaced Bolaji and Spartak went on the attack. Boateng tested the readiness of Belek in the visitors' goal with a header in the 64th minute, a minute later Štetina had a goal on his head, but missed by inches. Boateng was also very close to reducing the score, but even he did not aim his head accurately. Trnava's strong three-minute play did not end with a goal.

Luck, however, turned to the home side in the 68th minute, when Boateng jumped highest at Štefánik's corner and sent the ball into the net with a precise header -1:2. The activity of Spartak increased even more, the spectators also joined in and in the 76th minute he was able to equalize with Štetina, heading wide. Boateng had an even better chance to equalize in the 79th minute, he took over the ball, undershot Belek, and the visiting Rusnák kicked the ball towards the goal at the last moment.

In the 84th minute, a ball from Koštrno reached the right side after a short pass to Savvidis, and the Greek beat Belek with a technical shot - 2:2. Two minutes later, Takač shined, brilliantly sending a shot from a free kick served by Kopas to safety.

In added time, Yusuf rushed at the guests' goal from the left side, his bomb scared Belek, but the goalkeeper resisted. Štetina didn't score either after Azeveda's corner, so after a good performance in the second half, Spartak won twice with a goal and won at least a point with Žilina.

Michal Gašparík (Spartak): "We had a very good start to the match, as in other matches, we forced the opponent to kick balls for twenty minutes. Then it happened, what follows us, we got a goal from the first shot, we should have kicked the ball into the car, it was a cheap corner and we conceded. People started whistling, half time ended as it ended. We started the second half actively, unfortunately we conceded to 0:2, we switched to three defenders with two attackers, we simplified the game and started playing vabank. Many opportunities have come. On the one hand, I am happy that we have a point, on the other hand, I have an inner feeling that the match could have been won, there were many situations. Nice match, I'm glad we're finally going to play outside. It is not easy to play four matches at home, when the result is not good like us and Bystrica, you are under pressure, especially in Trnava. Despite the less than ideal start to the season, we have the biggest competitors within striking distance. I believe that we will torment the Poles and finally play an away game.

Jaroslav Hynek (Žilina): "I think we saw an excellent match, full of chances with an excellent backdrop. In the first half, we were imprecise, Trnava's desire to make a decision could almost be seen, we were imprecise, although we saved one or two chances, we took advantage of the chances and were as effective as possible. We were able to react to the change in line-up, Trnava's strength was enormous, we kept up the pressure. We had a break at 3 to 2, which we should have solved better, we would have finished the match better, but it didn't happen. The opponent had many chances and headers before equalizing, so in the final we are glad that we lost the point."
