On the last transfer day, Spartak managed to secure the arrival of 24-year-old Nigerian striker Abdulrahman Taiwa, who will stay in Trnava until the end of the current season.
The former Nigerian Under-23 national team player was a member of the broader squad of Nigeria's Olympic squad for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. He started in Europe in Bursaspor, Turkey, where he played for the under-19 team during the spring of 2017. Subsequently, he worked in Zbrojovka Brno and in 2018 he transferred to the Fortuna League, where he became a player for Nitra. In the winter, with his performances, he asked for a transfer to DAC D. Streda, and subsequently also hosted in Michalovce and Karvina. It is interesting that Spartak scored a goal in the league in all three jerseys. Doveda played 59 matches in our competition and scored 19 goals.
He started last season in Dunajská Streda, but transferred to the Danish league in the summer of a year ago SönderjyskE. However, his home club failed to stay in the highest Danish competition and he decided to return to Slovakia.

We promise from Taiwa that he will bring efficiency to our offensive and give the coach new options when choosing the lineup." said club president Peter Macho on the occasion of the arrival of the new reinforcement.
Taiwo will meet again in the same dressing room not only with other Nigerian compatriots Bolaj and Oseni, but also with Bukat, with whom he played in Karvina, and with Koštern, who was his teammate in Dunajská Streda.
